Hooke Farm Bed and Breakfast Dorset
We have recently been asked to help optimise a site for the charming Hooke Farm Bed and Breakfast Dorset. We were not asked to redesign the site, but to help it perform for specific keywords to drive traffic to the bed and breakfast business. We carried out keyword research that identified a small number of appropriate phrases people actually use in search engines. We then changed the architecture and some of the content of the website to ensure it was well optimised for the chosen keywords. Finally, we are developing a link building campaign which we will monitor. I know the clients well and if you are coming to visit this part of Dorset it will certainly be worthwhile staying here. The website url is www.bedandbreakfastdorset.co.uk.
Shopping for Feathery Fascinators
We had a fun fashion shoot one afternoon for the Wedding Fascinators website and Jemma wrote about it and posted a picture on her wedding fascinators blog. The upshot of that was that we had hundreds of photographs of some of her hand-made fascinators to load onto the new website. The website is far from complete (are they ever?) but it is now a fully functioning online shop which accepts payment via Google checkout. In due course full shopping cart functionality will be added with the ability to accept all major credit cards directly. I think my favourite fascinator (so far) is the Red Fitzrovia Wedding Fascinator. They’re great value as well considering they are all hand made and delivered free.
Wedding Fascinators website launched
Jemma Loveridge and Andrea Neville-Rolfe’s millinery talents are clearly show-cased in their website www.ajhats.co.uk. When I started to look at internet marketing opportunities with Jemma, we decided to approach things from a different perspective and so we have begun to develop a specific website for wedding fascinators. The site should draw its own traffic from search engine results and within just a couple of weeks from having the domain registered, it is already featuring on the front page of Google for our principle keywords. Plans are for the site to develop into a full blown ecommerce store. The great thing is that it should push more traffic to Jemma and Andrea’s existing web site as well. We’ll keep you posted on how well we help drive traffic to their wedding hats business.
Julia Hailes’s new website will shortly be launched
We were excited to be commissioned to rebuild Julia Hailes’s website earlier this year. Julia Hailes is a leading sustainability consultant and author of the best-selling New Green Consumer Guide. Julia had built her old website over a number of years herself and is a sophisticated computer user, but it was time for a complete overhaul. The website is full of information about her work as well as useful information about sustainability and environmental issues. All the information on Julia’s extensive website, including hundreds of external and internal links is being ported to the new website and design. The new website now integrates slide shows, videos, podcasts and Julia’s blog. By using embedded links, Julia’s website will automatically update whenever she creates a blog post or adds photographs to her albums – even from her phone. In this way, the website can constantly be updated even when Julia is travelling. As soon as the website is published, we’ll post the link here.
Lord Lucan to appear in Trafalgar Square
William Coles, has recently published a book called Lord Lucan My Story. It is a gripping tale told in Lucan’s own words. He is promoting this on Thursday by taking part in Anthony Gormley’s living exhibition on the fourth plinth at Trafalgar Square and dressing up as Lord Lucan himself. I knew Billy was an exhibitionist. Sadly I won’t be in London to see him, but I have discovered that there is a live web cam so that I can see him make a fool of himself. Good luck!
The Beauty Room, Beaminster
I am delighted to have just published the new website for The Beauty Room in Beaminster, Dorset. The Beauty Room provides a wide range of beauty and salon treatments, including facials, hand and foot treatments, make up, piercing, sun beds, massages, tanning, waxing and electrolysis. They needed to have an online presence with a simple list of treatments and the ability to update thier price list without having to rebuild the whole site. The website can be found at www.thebeautyroombeaminster.co.uk
