Case study: Baby Pushchairs
Our intensive research into the baby products market identified a
possible niche in the market for a successful online business for pushchairs.
Research into the phrases that are typed into
Google showed that more than 2,900 people a month search
for 'baby pushchairs' in the UK.
Our
competitive analysis showed
that although major players were clearly spending thousands of pounds on Pay Per Click Advertising, very few websites in the UK or in the rest of the world were properly optimised for
this search term.
We were then able to create a fully optimised
website advertising baby pushchairs.
Our website, www.bestbabypushchairs.com, was first indexed by Google on 1st June, just a
couple of weeks after the domain was registered. Within a week it appeared at search results no 2 and no 3
on Google.com. This is the screen shot in the picture
above.
For the target market, which
is the UK, ranking success took
a little longer but within a couple of months, using our programme of
off-site opimtisation, the site was appearing regularly within the first 6-8 results of www.google.co.uk and www.google.com.
You will probably find the website on the first page of Google now. I only say probably as we use our Best Baby Pushchairs site to experiment and we have different
plans for it in the future. We don't want to treat our clients as guinea
pigs!
