	Xsite Pro*	A general and powerful package for producing good looking SEO optimized websites without knowing html code or other web languages. Paid.
	Picasa	Excellent consumer software for finding, viewing, sorting and editing pictures and video on your computer. Free.
	Adobe Reader	The well known reader for pdf files, freely available from Adobe if it is not already installed on your computer.  Free.
	Xenu's Link Sleuth	Is your website working?  Can you navigate around it?  This software will help track down broken links.  Free.
	Firefox	An alternative browser to Internet Explorer.  Increasingly popular.  Secure and fast.  Free.
	Safari	The internet browser found on Apple Macs.  This can now be loaded onto Windows PCs as well.  Free.
	JR Screen Ruler	A useful tool for measuring the size of pictures and graphics on your screen. Free.
	Back Street Browser	An offline browser and web downloader.  A slightly technical tool for making a mirror of a website on your own PC.  Slightly technical. Free.
	WinHTTrack Website Copier	Another offline browser and website copier.  More flexibility and more technical than Back Street Browser.  Open source.
	Opera	Another web browser as an alternative to IE.  Free
	Chrome	Yet another web browser.  This one fairly new and created by Google.  Very fast.
	Eyedropper	A useful little tool to deteremine the colours on your screen.  Free.
	Notepad++	Notepad is a free source code editor.  Useful when you are trying to remove all the funny code from Word and other software.

In the spirit of the way the internet has evolved with the input of many individuals, we have put this page in our website to share our experience.  We use some of this software to develop our websites.  Some is free, some is cheap and some is really quite expensive.  The list is not exhaustive - it never could be.   Where the software must be paid for, we will sometimes receive a commission for the sale.  Where this is the case we endeavour to advertise this to you by adding an * to the link in the interests of transparency.  If you are a client of ours and you purchase software through such a link, we will be happy to discuss a credit on our next invoice.

Be aware, although some of this software is simple to use, some is technical and may only be suitable for advanced users.  You download it at your own risk.  Links will take you away from this website and cannot be our responsibility.
